And then I asked.

그리고 난 질문했다.

"As a parent, what are some of life's lessons you want your children to learn?"

"부모로서 자녀에게 어떤 교훈들을 해 주고 싶으신가요?"

"To learn they cannot make anyone love them.

All they can do is let themselves be loved."

"다른 사람이 자기를 사랑하게 강요할 수 없다는 것을,

단지 자기를 사랑하게 놓아둘 뿐이라는 것을 가르쳐 주고 싶네.

"To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others."

"다른 사람과 비교하는 것이 좋지 않다는 것을."

"To learn to forgive by praticing forgiveness."

"용서함으로 용서를 배우기를."

"To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds

in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them."

"사랑하는 사람에게 커다란 상처를 주기에는 단지 몇 초의 시간밖에 걸리지 않지만

그 상처가 아물기에는 몇 년의 시간이 걸린다는 걸."

"To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most,

butis one who needs the least."

"부자는 가장 많이 가진 사람이 아니라 가장 적게 필요한 사람이라는 걸."

"To learn that there are people who love them dearly,

but simply do notyet know how to express or show their feelings."

"너희에게 사랑을 표현 못하거나 말하지 못하는 사람중에도

너희를 깊이 사랑하는 사람이 있다는 걸."

"To learn that two peoplecanlook at the same thing, and seeit differently."

"두 사람이 같은 것을 보고서도 다르게 느낄 수 있다는 걸."

"To learn that it is not enough that they forgive ong another,

but they must also forgive themselves."

"다른 사람을 용서하는 것 만이 아니라 자기를 용서해야 된다는 걸."

"Thank you for your time." I said humbly.

"시간을 내 주셔서 감사합니다." 나는 겸손하게 말했다.

"Is there anything else you'd like your children to know?"

"자녀들이 알았으면 하는 다른 말씀이 있으신가요?"

GOD smiled and said.

신이 미소지으며 말했다.

"Just Know that I am here."

"단지 내가 이 곳에 있음을 기억하기를."

"Always."
"언제나."

"All ways."
